We face many challenges along the way in life. It is just normal.
Everyone faces challenge one way of the other. Whether we like it or not, life is as such. How we go about dealing with the challenge is entirely up to us.
The choice is ours!
We can choose to ignore. Depending on the situation, sometimes this may be a good idea. Just imagine being faced with a superior who never listens to anyone when he is in the angry mode. We can be calm but we cannot expect everyone else to be calm like us. So when a person is already flooded with anger, it is best to just lay low and listen to all the grunts the person has to relate. Let the person talk it out, never to add a word to it.
By keeping silent, we portray a good listener, even though we might not be listening at that very moment. Everyone needs a good listener every now and then. Everyone has something to say about everything. If we just let the person vent his frustration, we are in fact helping the person and also ourselves. There is no reason for an arguments even though we know we have a point. When a person is agitated, nothing will be absorbed.
The best time to talk is when the person is calm. Nobody can be angry at all times. When anger has reached its peak, it will fall like we would into a steep ravine. That is the time when the person will start to calm down. The person will know when he is ready to listen. We have been a good listener during all the frustration, the person will willingly listen to us when the storm is over. This is the best time to talk our mind out to them.
Timing is crucial.
We can choose to live up to the challenge. While we may be the calm and kind person we are, there will be many situations whereby we have to take action. Without action, life is stagnant.
Opportunity is everywhere. While some people see it as an opportunity, others may see it as a challenge. So what is wrong with a challenge? It is just a matter of perception.
Challenges can be big or small.
There are many instantaneous decisions we need to make every single minute of the day. For example, we received a message from a friend asking us to buy a product from him. What do we do? Do we support him or do we just ignore his request? While it is just a simple message, its meaning is much bigger. If we choose to support him, there may be another round of needing support coming soon. If we choose to ignore, what kind of a friend we are that we cannot support on such a small matter. We are placed in a dilemma.
There are challenges that do not come often but is a big deal in our life. We have a career now, but we are unhappy in life.
Having a career pays the bills but if we are not enjoying what we do for a living, what can we do for a change? It is a huge decision. A change in career means starting over. We have already done that many years ago and we have faced many challenges along the way. We are in our comfort zone now and change is hard. Most people may have this mindset. If we are to resign ourselves from the current situation, life is going to turn upside down and we may not be able to take it. This is common.
How about thinking differently? Successful people always reason beyond what lays before them. What is a challenge now is actually an opportunity. They will take the challenge. They are willing to change for the better. That is what makes them different from ninety-nine percent (99%) of the worlds’ population. They are the one percent (1%) on the top of the world. They earn it for being different. They become successful because they dare to be different. If they can do it, so can we.
Wherever there is a challenge, there is also an opportunity that lay ahead. Live up to the challenge!
Challenge yourself everyday to do better and be better. Remember, growth starts with a decision to move beyond your present circumstances.
