Peace

Peace brings upon happiness, joy, and abundance.

Peace is a word that portrays a slow moving life. Perhaps a tortoise is the most peaceful animal on earth. They are vegetarians and they do move rather slowly compared to many other animals. While they may be slow, they life a long life without much health problems. They may face a lot of harm when young, but life develops better over a period of time. When they have grown to full size, they become almighty. They are so large and heavy that they face almost no predators, except for humans. Their shell is so tough there is no way to breaking it.

Right on the opposite end, there is the wildebeest known for its speed. They too are vegetarians but they are the fastest herbivores on earth. They are very good at eloping from predators. However, they live a very much shorter life and because of their speed, health may decline at a faster rate as well. Growing up in the wild is fierce. Though fast, they are still no match for the cheetah. Life ends in just a split second if running in the wrong direction.

Life is a balance.

People who strive for success are often living in a fast moving life. Every little activity is a must attend. Every little information is a must know. Every little bit of acknowledgement is a must have. Success gurus always remind us of like attracts like. Quite opposite from how magnet works but it is true. If we are positive thinkers, and we act positively towards all happenings in our life, life naturally becomes positive.

Why are some people more successful than others even though we are all human?

Success does not fall from the sky. Everything we do leads somewhere. If we think positive but do not put in efforts to change for the better, nothing is going to happen. Perhaps we are not aware of it. It is easier said than done.

Let us put it this way. If a married couple wants to have children and are very positive to having a dozen of them, but never start any efforts to start the family, will they ever have children? There is a difference between not having the ability to start a family and not making the efforts that leads to an abundant family.

Even if they have made the efforts to start a family, the children may not grow up the way they are expected to. While expectations is normal, it is not healthy. Every single child is an individual and they are all different. Parents will have to take time to understand each one of them right from the day of birth; their needs, and the way they act to different situations. Customize the best nurturing plan for each of them, never ever take for granted that they are all born of the same parents that they will grow up to be the same. No two things in this world is ever the same. At most, they could be similar.

Disappointment is a huge downfall in any family. We are all humans. We love to compare. While comparison can be healthy, it can also be devastating. We, as adults, should guide our children to become a better person. If they cannot find their own mentor, help them with it and guide them through. Whatever way parents choose, never ever compare between the siblings. This will break all blood relations no matter how close they were when growing up.

Success is often measured in monetary terms or fame. While these are important to keep us striving, there are other important elements to success that we often overlook. Life can be as complicated or as simple as we want to. Success can also mean to have guided other people to success, wealth and fame. Success can be in terms of health. We can be striving all our life to become the person we want to be but what is success when we have to be bedridden for the rest of our lives. We need to be at peace with ourselves.

Knowing our strength and setting priorities right is the way forward. Peace starts from within.

Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.

Ronald Wilson Reagan (Ronald Reagan), 40th President of the United States of America, 1911-2004
