To do or not to do?

Sometimes we wake up in the morning we are totally blank. Most of the time we do have something in mind. Perhaps that something has been in our mind since the night before or even for the past whole week. We are just not sure whether or not we want to really do it.

What is the cause of the halt?

Whatever that is in your mind, what is the issue with it? Why are you not taking action to doing it yet? What is bothering you so much that you do not want to act on it? Is it because of uncertainty? Is it because of the risks involved? Is it because you are just not ready for it? Is it because you are worried that the people around you will mock you? It is because you do not know how?

Where there is a will, there is always a way.

STOP! Stop your procrastination right now. Just ask yourself this one question:
# How bad do you want it? #

If you really want to do something, nothing in the world can stop you. If you keep giving yourself excuses, nothing can help you. No matter how high your motivation is, it really does not matter unless you do something about it. No matter how happy you may feel when thinking about it, nothing really matters unless you are really in it. No matter how big or small your dream is, it is just going to remain a dream unless you build upon it.

Your dream may be big. Everyone has their own big dreams at some point of their lives. It does not matter what that dream is. It only matters if you take initiatives to work towards making your dreams come true.

Sometimes, just by thinking you already have what you want will simply bring you to it, even though you do not yet have it. Sometimes life is as such. When you want something bad enough, you think about it all the time. You believe that you are going to get it one day. You picture yourself in that happy state of mind when you already have it. You remember that feeling all the time. You remind yourself over and over about that thing that you love so much. The universe will find a way to put it in front of you. You will get it one way or the other. Sometimes the outcome is even better than imagined.

I always tell people that I have manifested my dreams before. The most important of all is the dream since I was a kid. Of course when we were kids we had many dreams, most of which are just day dreams. But there is this one dream that I have manifested and have brought immense light into my world of darkness. Perhaps you have already read my previous articles telling of this story but I am really proud of this and I will tell it over and over to remind myself that the Law of Attraction really works.

I love dogs, all kinds of dogs, big or small. One species in particular that had captured my heart so deeply is the German Shepherd. Their intelligence and loyalty is just… indescribable. They are willing to sacrifice everything, including their own lives, to protect the humans they love. I told myself that I would like to have one when I grow up. Perhaps I have wanted it so badly this dream dwell right inside my subconscious mind for the longest time ever. Consciously, I have forgotten about this during my teens and my work and married life.

I was just living the normal lifecycle that everyone is living. Get through with school. Get a job. Get married. Start a family. One miscarriage brought me into total darkness for six whole years. I was in deep depression that I thought I hid well from others. One day, this little abandoned German Shepherd puppy lookalike came to our doorstep. He lit me up instantly. My husband finally saw the light in me once again. As much as he is afraid of dogs, he is willing to adopt this puppy into our lives. Our Max is four now. This miniature German Shepherd lookalike has brought so much happiness into our lives.

I have finally let go of the prison I set myself in. I am 100% depression free now. I can talk about my depression. I can talk about my loss. I can finally talk freely without holding myself back. I can finally be myself with the arrival of our beloved Max.

Letting free your mind can bring you what you really want deep within.

To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.

Kindness

Amidst the hustle and bustle life in the city.

Life is a state of being. Life is strange in many ways. It has been known scientifically that we are all made up of matter but we lack the understanding of what matter really is, and what really matters in life. Perhaps we are being clouded by the things we see around us, material things. Perhaps our minds are too congested to even think what life really means.

We seek kindness in our everyday life

We hope very much for people to be kind to us in all directions. We hope our life to be smooth sailing all the time. While having hope means a lot to those who lack of something but what hope really means is the lack of ability to make it come true. What then, can we do to make our dreams become reality? What is it that we need to fulfill in order to not just relying on luck and hope?

What we want others do for us we have to first do for others. If you want people to be kind to you, you have to first spread the kindness. This has been known through history of mankind but somehow the transmission of information has been halted due to many reasons. It no longer matters the reason information is not brought to us, it only matters what we do to correct it.

Whatever that had passed, leave it to the historians. Whatever that will happen in the future, leave it to the predictors. Our responsibility is to identify what we want and really take action into seeing it through. Some people are quick to decide while some takes much longer to find themselves. Perhaps we have been looking too hard to find something that is there in plain sight.

Most often, we spend time over thinking. This does not help at all, and in fact, it complicates the matter so much you become confused. When your mind is overwhelmed, it functions is a berserk way. Everything seems important. Everything seems urgent. Everything seems to matter. You get stressed. You try to control your emotions. You become depressed.

Depression is somewhat a silent killer. Many people do not realize that when a person is in that state of mind, that person would be thinking of many ways to self-destruct. While that person may have depression, they will be seemingly normal in the eyes of others. They are great actors. They are able to hide the side of them that they do not wish to show anybody. Even their closest family may not be able to identify that they need help.

What can we do then? If we are not able to identify, we cannot help them.

Perhaps we have been looking in the wrong direction. We do not treat the symptoms, we have to cure the disease. How about being kind to everyone around you? How about treating everyone the same? How about lending a helping hand to people even if they did not ask for help? How about having a conversation with the people you care about? How about stopping your procrastination and aimless jokes about other people?

Making fun of someone makes you feel great but can cause a disaster in the person’s life.
Making fun of someone makes other people laugh but can cause the person to silently bleed.
How do you feel when one day you are the one in the hot seat?
How do you feel when someone makes fun of something you hold dearly of?
Always put yourself in the shoes of others before spitting out words.
Always use your brain before your mouth.

Being kind to others means being kind to ourselves. While this may not make sense now, it will all come together when the time is right. The universe works in a very simple yet complex way. The universe knows no emotion, it only works towards what is true to our minds. What you think, you act. What you act, you get. Just remember this. What goes around comes around.

Be kind to yourself and others. Kindness will find its way back to you at times when you need it most.

We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.

Independence

Being independent is the ultimate goal we all have, whether or not we realize it.

When we are born, we are all dependent on the people around us. We depend on them to feed us. We depend on them to protect us. We depend on them to nurture us. Whatever we need, we depend on someone to provide. As we grow, step by step we learn to do things on our own. We no longer need anyone to feed us, carry us around, or help us change dirty diapers. We learn to find ways to deal with incidents that happen around us. We become more and more independent with each passing day.

Though there will be some who are still dependent on their parents even after schooling years. Perhaps they have been heavily protected to the point that they do not realize they have a life to live. Perhaps they do not understand that their parents will one day leave them behind. Who is to blame for the dependency of such children? Some would blame the parents for being over-protective. In actual fact, everything falls back to the individual themselves. They cannot blame other people for their unwillingness to take one step out of their comfort zone. If they are able to show their parents that they can do it on their own, there is no reason their parents should hold them back.

What is the meaning of independence?

It is being in a state of freedom from external control.
It is being in a state of not depending on another for the sustenance of live.
It is being in a state of capable of thinking or acting for oneself.

The state of being is one that every individual should focus on. Very often, we depend on external views to enable us to make decisions that matter in our life or the life of others. Why is that so?

Humans are sociable creatures. We love to think that our every decision will affect many things around us. Many of times, this is true. Every single decision we make could have a huge impact on the lives of others. Perhaps it is our responsibility to get opinions of others before making that big decision of ours. While the opinions of others may be important to guide us, it should never ever override the ultimate decision we make. There will be people who disagree with us one way or the other. As long as the decision we make is for the better of the majority, we have to pay a small price of the unhappy minority.

Every individual is different and have their own mindset. It is impossible to make every single person happy about our decision. As long as the decision we make is a well-thought one which gives a positive impact to the world, nature, and community, we have every right to stand firm to that regardless of what the haters say.

Some people are very keen on living in their own box. We can try to explain to them the positivity of our decision but they are just reluctant to listen. It is okay. The best way we can go about this situation is to make things happen through our decision. Results will explain everything. When we show them the great achievements of our doing, there is no reason for them to continue their objection. Never ever should we give in to their lame excuses. Never ever should we try to argue with them. Time will tell.

How to be independent?

Life is simple. Independence is achieved when we are free and easy.

It is easier said than done. Humans have created borders and countries. Each country has its own leaders. The independence of the country is very much dependent on the leader itself. However, there is no hard fixed place we cannot venture. We only need to know how to do it. There have been solo or group travelers who have been around the world, through borders of numerous countries, just on their bike. This is the state of freedom we all seek but never get to doing.

Independence of an individual is easy to achieve. Independence of a country requires strength and courage of many individuals to provide a better livelihood for their young. Cherish the freedom we have and be grateful for the sacrifice of our forefathers so we can live peacefully in our home country.

Selamat Hari Merdeka!

A great step towards independence is a good-humored stomach, one that is willing to endure rough treatment.

Creative

Creativity starts from within.

We are all born to be creative one way or the other. Perhaps in our eyes other people are almost always more creative than we are. Being creative also means to have a sense of confidence. When we are confident, our minds work better. When we are confident, we know we can make a difference.

There is no limitation to the type of creativity one has.

We live in a world full of barriers. There are barriers between countries and also within each country. These barriers have been formed to differentiate between the right and wrong, the rich and poor. It is called the law.

Humans have created law to keep order. Whilst this may be the way we are educated, to think that law is good for us, it also keeps us in a box, limiting our thoughts. Everything we do, we have to first look at the law, whether or not we are abiding by the law. Otherwise, we would probably end up in trouble for doing things against the law. This is just the way common people think.

Successful people think differently. While we have the perception that they can do whatever they want because they have a whole table of lawyers to back them up, we have forgotten that they were also once like us, nobody. Being successful is not about inheriting riches and power, it is all about building trust from scratch. This is the reason why we should never envy rich people we see. Instead, model them. Line our path creatively to reach the status we yearn for.

Money is just a tool. Some people tend to think that money is the master of all evils and they wonder why they are always living on the brink. We have made ourselves believe in our own limitations. Just because the rich people that we meet have poor attitude, that does not mean all rich people are the same. We are all individuals. People can be as kind or nasty as can be, whether or not they are multimillionaires. There is no price tag in kindness.

Perhaps if we think creatively, we will begin to understand that we should love money. Money can buy many things, even power. If we want to make a change, if we want to make a better world, we need to have money. The world that we currently live in is built on money. We cannot deny that. Everyone knows it for a fact. We either depend on public funding or we build a business to make the money to refurbish this place we call home. Either way, we need money.

We are all dwellers on earth. Each day will pass whether we like it or not and with each passing day, we grow a little older. But there is no limitation to what our mind is. As we age, we become wiser too. There is no limitation to what we can do. We are all born equal. It is up to us to open up our minds, to be creative about life.

We love preset. Our parents and teachers have told us that we have to do certain things at a certain age in a certain way. Our minds have been conditioned to believe so since the day we are born. We live through each day observing the people around us. We learn from what they do and we believe that everything we see is true. This is the reason why we are who we are now. No difference from the lives they have had.

The internet has grown fast and vast over the years. We have the ability to search. We have the awareness of technology. We have the knowledge that is held in our hands. We can choose to do exactly what others do, or we can be different. Successful people think creatively, never are they limited to what others say or do. They have their own mindset, which is something we should model upon. They are never satisfied with what is placed in front of them. They like to think otherwise, and take up the challenge of being different. Every roadblock they face, they see it as a stepping stone to nudge up higher.

We mould our own life. Be creative to succeed.

To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.

Wish

Your wish is my command!

Everyone of us hope to have a genie that would grant us three wishes, just like what Aladdin had. As easy as it seems, there is always a catch. Let us not forget one of the rules for the wishes, no wish for more wishes. So this genie that appears magically after gently rubbing the lamp will only grant its master three wishes, no more. Aladdin had to think his wishes through carefully so he will not waste every opportunity to make life better.

If we had a genie, what would we wish for?

Some of us may wish for riches. This is the norm. Everyone loves money. Who does not? If we had all the money in the world, what would we do with it? To buy that dream mansion? To buy the fastest handmade car? To buy the latest piece of technology? If we had all the money in the world, we can buy anything we want. There is always a catch.

People who are rich and remain rich for generations have ways to dealing with money. They know how to utilize money to make them more money. If they only knew how to spend money but never learn how to earn money, it will run out sooner than they think. This is what happens to people who won the lottery. They were broke. They strike a lottery and became rich overnight but they do not know how to manage money. They spend all the money they have buying unnecessary things that they thought was important, just to show their status. Not long after, they end up even more broke than before. They are just obsessed with spending money, nothing more than that.

Some of us may wish for wisdom. This is also the norm. Everyone wants to be smarter than everyone else. Who does not? If we had all the wisdom in the world, what would we do with it? Will we build a monastery for people to worship us? Will we build a school to teach the younger generation? Will we build an ark to house all living beings just in case the world is coming to an end? If we had all the wisdom in the world, nothing can ever challenge us. What is the catch?

Wisdom is something that can only be learnt, not taught. There have been many wise men since the first men. They are well worshipped even long after they have left the surface of the earth. Their noble teachings spread wide. No matter how well their teachings have been crafted for the good of humanity, we are all different individuals. We decipher words and phrases differently. Some may even deviate far from the true meaning. If we are the only one deviating, it probably do not make any difference but if we have a large group of followers deviating together with us, the impact is far greater than we can ever imagine.

Learning is a continuous process. Whatever that has been passed on through word of mouth over generations has a truth to it. But how much of it is true, we have to have our own thought for. No two beings are the same in any case. No two decades are the same in any era. We should scrutinize. We are given the gift of a brain to do so. Never to just follow blindly what others say. We can learn from the past to build a better future, not use the past to give ourselves excuses to remain stagnant.

My wish is for humans to live alongside with animals as a family.

Everyone is free to wish for anything. We do not have a genie to grant us wishes but we can always wish for something in hope that our wish will come true. Action speaks louder than words. What is an ambition without action? What is a wish without passion? If we want something to happen, we will have to do something about it. Nothing will ever happen if we are to just sit and ponder over and over. We have to wake up, get out there, see opportunities, take chances, and only then our wish may come true one day. It does not matter if we live to see it, so long as the engine has started and is kept running, we will arrive at the final destination, one way or the other.

Wish for something greater than just money and wisdom. Make your wish come true!

The poor may wish for wealth. The student may wish for good grades. The worker may wish for a raise. The entrepreneur may wish for profit. The lonely may wish for love. The ill may wish for health. The aged may wish for youth. The hungry may wish for food. The homeless may wish for a roof over their heads. What will innocent animals wish for? What will Mother Nature wish for?

We have the ability to make a difference.

It isn’t hard at all to make a wish. The difficulty lies in how to make what you wish for a reality.
