Medicine

Stereo in the conventional medicine is not going to let you achieve great health.

But my parents have told me this, “If you get sick, you must see the doctor.” This is a typical stereo thinking that conventional medicine is the cure for all diseases.

Has anyone ever thought that the conventional medicine is a little over-rated? They are all over the television. As we watch it over and over when we were young, we have stereo ourselves into believing that conventional medicine is the only option we have to ensure that we are in great shape of health. Is that really so?

While conventional medicine has a great reputation of healing at a rate no others can achieve, perhaps too good is not good at all. Has anyone ever questioned why it is so fast at doing its work compared to alternative healings? Has anyone ever questioned why we are so overly dependent on whatever medicine it is that has been prescribed by our doctors? Has anyone ever questioned why conventional medical practitioners are so readily available everywhere, even 24 hours service?

We have to admit that conventional medication has created history in the medical industry. However, how many medical practitioners out there really know what they are doing? Whatever they study in medical school, is it really what they should be studying? Is it really about what type of medication cure what type of disease?

Has it ever occurred to you that you have been solely dependent on whatever your doctor tells you? The key to good health is not taking medication or vaccination as recommended by your doctors. The key to good health is how much you care for your body. The quality of your sleep, the air that you breathe in, the amount of water that you drink, the food that you eat, and also the information you feed your soul.

You do not treat the problem when it occurs. You nip the flower in the bud, put yourself in an environment so healthy that you overcome sickness as they try to invade your body.

Many people go to conventional medicine for help when they face with a chronic disease, such as cancer or diabetes. What do you get? Medicine. You take the medicine thinking you will heal over a period of time but life does not work this way. Such diseases would not have occurred if you have taken great care of your own body. Nobody knows your body better than you do. How do you expect a total stranger to be able to tell you what is wrong with your body when you do not even take note of the changes in your body, when you are not even aware of the signs your body is showing you?

Yes, the doctors can prescribe you medication for any type of sickness. Has it ever occurred to you that the medication you are taking is actually poison to your body? Your body needs to do a lot of work to expel harmful substances each time you take them. Why put your body through such stress when there are alternatives out there? Yes, you want to treat the disease but do understand that it is the effort you put in to changing your lifestyle that will put the disease away for good, not the medication you are taking?

Take cancer for example. Have you ever questioned why people are willing to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy even though they suffer throughout the entire treatment, and they will still risk dying throughout the process? Perhaps it is the hope that the medical practitioners have given them. Or perhaps it is the fear of consequences of not following what the doctors say or the procedure that everyone is following. It is the norm, so it must be correct. This is a very dangerous mindset and it could cause you your life.

Some people do survive everything and get to live a happy life for many years to come. However, many have perished due to the procedure while some get a relapse several years after the standard cancer treatment procedure. Just so that people understand, chemotherapy means putting very toxic substances into the body directly through you bloodstream in hope that they kill the cancer cells. Radiotherapy means going through multiple times of radiation in hope that they kill the cancer cells. Everything is done in hope to cure you. If they are banking in hope, why are you not open to alternative healings?

Health do not come in the form of medicine. What treats the symptoms does not cure the disease. You have the power within you.

Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.

Switch

What to do when you wake up feeling under the weather?

Everyone has had this feeling whether or not you admit it. Once in a while, you will feel like you just cannot get out of bed. Perhaps you have been working too hard for the past few months you hardly get enough sleep throughout the whole period. Now, you are burnt out. It does not help when the weather outside is gloomy. The sky is still moody at 9 in the morning.

Perhaps you feel like your daily routine is torn. Perhaps you feel like you are going to breakdown at any moment. Perhaps you are alone or even with your family, everyone else seems to be also in the same situation. There are too many things still on the plate that you need to handle but you are just not up to it. What do you do when this happens? Have you ever felt like life is turning against you in the peak of your performance? Have you ever felt like the energy level suddenly just drop in the peak of your motivation? What can you do?

Your mind tells you to get going but your body stops you from moving. You know your responsibilities but everything just does not seem to gel. You know you have to do something to get out of this situation but your brain is just not functioning the way it usually does. You are not sick but you feel like you are getting sick. How do you overcome this? How do you think you can handle the situation? Why is it so different today? Why does it feel like you are going back to the old you now? Why is change so difficult?

Do you realize that there is a button in all of us? It is called the reset button. You can always switch from a terrible situation to a wonderful one once you press on that button. All you need to do is to find that button within you.

Where?

The question to ask is not where the button is. The question to ask should be how to reach the button of functionality. Each of us function in our own unique ways. Only you know what works best for you.

If meditation sounds too mystical for you, perhaps just sitting quietly in a clear space in your room will help. Observe everything there is in the room. There may be a little crease in your bedsheet, or a hairline crack in the wall, or may be a little ant trying to find its way home. All these little details, what do they have in common despite their differences? All these little details, as little as they may be, they are part of your room. They have been around probably since you moved in or they may be newly created along the way. They could be an important change in the structure of your room. Just observe, do not judge.

You may say that you are living in a square tiny room in an apartment and you really hate the lack of space, then just get out there. There surely is a park or garden or playground somewhere you can just sit and be still. Observe everything that goes on around you. There could be children playing and running about screaming and shouting as they have fun. There could be butterflies or bees having their taste of pollens and nectar from the beautiful flowers all around. The wind is blowing and the leaves whistle. The birds are chirping. There could be a whole colony of ants transporting food back to their queen. Immerse yourself into nature. Spend as much time as you possibly can, be in this moment. Just be in this moment.

We have been too busy in our hustle and bustle of life that we have lost connection with what is. Your body knows it better than you do because you have cramped so much information within you that everything become congested and crowded, you can no longer differentiate what is. There is only so much our physical body can take. When it tires, it affects your mind. This is when you know you need a break. Trust your body. Trust your mind.

When self-esteem is low, it is time to switch on the button of functionality.

When you mix with the wrong energy, there’s bound to be an explosion. Pay attention and switch lanes when the signal changes. What’s really real, is ultimately revealed.

Self-Awareness

What is the ultimate advice one can have in order to succeed in life?

Everything comes down to just one thing. Self-awareness.

We are all individuals. We can never find another individual with the exact same features as we are. No matter how determined you are to find, it is just not there. We are all unique in our own ways. We can have the same face but we have different characters. We can have the same upbringing but we take different paths. We can have the same education but we venture into different careers. We can have the same job but we do things differently. We can have the same materials but we live life in our own ways.

What is it that makes us who we are?

Some say it is very much got to do with our upbringing. This is true as the first few years of our lives is the time when we are like a blank sheet of paper. Whatever our guardians feed us is whatever that is written, hardwired into our minds. There is no erasing, no correction. Sometimes, we even feel like life is just as is, that there is no other way except for this way that we definitely have to go through.

Love is the strongest of all feelings. With love, anything can be made possible. It is with love, we conquer all fears. It is with love, we thrive. Sometimes we become so immersed in love that we have forgotten the reality of it.

Remember those times when you were in love, how are your days? Are they full of vibrant colours? Are they full of excitement? How do you feel? Your heart pumps so fast it feels like leaping out. Your brain goes blank you become speechless. Your body takes action in the way you would never imagine possible. The urge you have to make it happen is bigger than your fear. You are no longer your usual self. You are not shy to show your feelings. You are not worried that your actions may cause others to feel uneasy. You are determined to do what you do and you make it a point to do it. You do not know what the outcome will be, you just do it.

Then you get rejected. What do you do? Do you just give up? Or do you find other means and ways to get through with what you want? How are you going to get what you want? What are you willing to sacrifice for what you want? Are you willing to change yourself? Are you willing to do whatever it takes? Are you willing to fail again and again until you finally reach the point of success? Are you willing to face the consequences of losing hope? Are you willing to be different from the norm?

Keep that feeling at all times. Remind yourself of you. Stay true to yourself.

Whatever that is behind you is history. In front of you, there are only two paths. One is made up of golden bricks that is easy to walk but leads you nowhere. Another is made up of sticks, pebbles, and stones, probably with potholes everywhere that looks like a horrible path to cross but leads you to the infinite pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Which path will you choose?

There is no right or wrong in the path you choose. There is only the awareness within you.

Many times in life, we tend to choose the easy way out. The way that everyone agrees to be the right way. The way that is easy to access. But what kind of feeling are you getting while taking the easy way? Do you feel like life is a bore? Do you feel like you are just another being? Do you feel empty?

Every one of us feels differently. Some of us chase more than just dreams. Some of us chase more than just money. It is the feeling of satisfaction within that counts. Look no further. Ask yourself, the answer you need is within you. Deep within you. You have to be aware of what fills the voids in your life. You have the strength to fill the voids on your own.

Self-awareness is a simple yet complicated tool to find satisfaction.

Strong people have a strong sense of self-worth and self-awareness; they don’t need the approval of others.

Complicated

Life is complicated is just an opinion.

Thanks to the extraordinarily huge human brain size, we love to complicate things. Even the simplest things in life gets labelled mistakenly for being difficult. Is it really that difficult or we chose to see it so?

Whenever we are in a situation, we usually only see the negative portion of it. It comes automatically. There is no doubt that there surely is a problem to it but is that really it? Only problematic? Or is there more to it? Why are we just thinking on one side of it?

Old wise people will tell you to listen to both sides of the story. Yes, there is always two sides to a story, sometimes even more. Why are we almost always listening only to one side of it? Why are we only focusing on the same side, the side where we first heard of?

Perhaps our big brains have given us the power to better memory but we have forgotten the more significant use of our brains, to decipher information and make decisions. Are you a memory logger or a flesh and blood living being? Are you a computer or a human?

Think before jumping into conclusions. The first information you get may be correct but may not be necessarily the only correct information there is. Any other information that seems to clash with the first information may be wrong but may not be necessarily wrong in its entirety. Always find out before jumping into conclusions, which most of us just love to do.

I always remember this story which was shared by a family with a loving dog several years back. They heard their baby scream and they ran into the room. They saw their dog’s mouth covered in blood and their baby by the dog’s side. They jumped into conclusion that their dog harmed their baby. The man of the house ran out to get a gun, luckily before he took the shot, the lady of the house saw something on the floor. There was a snake in the room. Nobody saw the snake at first look because everyone was so focused on the bloody mouth of their dog. Their dog protected their baby by killing the snake.

It does not matter whether or not you are an animal lover. It only matters what you learn from this true story. Sometimes you just need to look farther and deeper.

If you jump into conclusion too early, it could be a matter of life and death. Even if it is not as serious as this, it could actually affect someone else’s life, sometimes to a permanent extent. Before we decide if anyone is guilty of something, perhaps we should look at the boarder picture. Never to only focus on what catches our attention at the very beginning.

Take it from this pandemic. As humans, we think that it disrupts our livelihood. Our plans are gone, our money is down to the bottom, our job is insecure, and on and on we complain. We cannot travel the world. We are separated from our families that live in another state or country. The whole lockdown worldwide has caused many businesses to crumble.

On the flip side, we ought to see something that should have been done decades ago. A lesson to teach humans to get out of their everyday lives and see the world in a different perspective. Life is not about waking up to that 9 to 5 job. Life is not about chasing after materials. Life is about living life.

It is time for us to wake up. Mother Nature has suffered a huge loss in the past centuries due to human evolution and exploitation. We become better at our inventions. We become better at using resources to the max. We become so good at development and yet we have forgotten the one most important thing, our roots. There is only one place we call home. We are not made up of nations. We are in fact actually only one unified world. If humans are able to work together for the better of the world, this would not have happened. Do not blame others. Look within yourself. Ask what you have done to protect your home.

Life is simple. It is the human minds that decided to make it complicated.

Spontaneous

The state of frustration is always spontaneous. How about the other states of mind?

Are you always spontaneous in whatever you do? Whether or not a person is spontaneous is dependent on individual and situation.

I am a perfectionist. Perfection do not gel with spontaneity. Being in that state, somehow life is slower and seem to be more convenient because there is no need for quick decisions at any one point of time. How does it affect the life of a person in this fast moving era when everyone is working at lightning speed? Do I need to follow what others do? Do I need to follow how others handle the situation?

Whether or not you want to go with the flow or stay where you are is entirely up to you. Nobody can force you to become another person or like the other person. It is all within your own reach. It is all within your own control. However, it does not take much effort to learn from others.

As human beings, we are given the gift of mind. Our mind is so powerful we are able to make dreams come true. Our mind is the one most important asset that we have throughout our life on this planet earth. Are you using your asset to the fullest? Or are you just keeping this asset in cold storage until the time is right to expose your potential?

Our mind works like a computer. It can store as much information as you want it to. It can analyze information if you let it to. It can also suggest actions for you. It is all up to you to decide whether or not you follow your thoughts or you let yourself continue sitting and waiting for the right timing. Have you ever asked yourself when the right time is? Or have you ever asked yourself what the right time is?

Everyone perceive things differently. That is the reason why everyone react to situations in their very own unique way. Sometimes people agree with each other that this solution is the best. However, the action towards that solution is more often different. It is the effect from being actioned by a different person or being done at a different time. This is normal. We cannot expect everything to be the same all the time because different people react differently to situations at a certain point of time in their life.

We have to understand one very important point, nothing is perfect.

Perhaps you understand it but you are still that same perfectionist. What can you do about it? How do you go around it?

The first step. You only need to take that first step. Get out there and just do it. Train yourself to understand that you can always perfect it throughout the journey, not at the start. You do not have to make it perfect before you start your journey.

There is the little voice in you telling you that you are not ready. And then you have even more voices asking you “what if …” Great!!!
Turn that around to ask yourself “What if I do not start today?” instead of “What if I fail tomorrow?”
Turn that around to ask yourself “What if I regret for not starting?” instead of “What if nobody like me?”
Turn that around to ask yourself “What if I succeed tomorrow?” instead of “What if people laugh at me?”

It is all in the mind. You only have one thing to do. Change your own perception. Ask your own questions. Be your own self. Being in this state of being is the best form one can ask. What else are you looking for?
Do what you dream. Dream what you do.
You are already as perfect as you can be.
You only need to be confident about yourself.
You only need to be confident to make mistakes.
You only need to be confident that you are going to bounce back higher.
You are the greatest.
You are unique.
Be yourself.
That is the one most important thing that you need to do now.

Stop your procrastination. Start being spontaneous.

Being spontaneous is being able to respond with confidence; calmly trusting that, whatever the outcome, you will have a positive if challenging experience that will lead to greater self-awareness and success.
