Relax

What does relax mean? 
There could be many different meanings. For some, it means doing nothing. For some, it means doing something. 

Perhaps doing something seemingly relaxing can really have the effect as such but what if it does not? What can we do then? 

Is going for a spa relaxing? 
If it is purely spa and not signing up for a spa package that could mean relaxing. But if it involves signing up a package and having to go to the same spa doing the same treatment regardless of rain or shine, that could induce stress in some. 

Is watching a movie relaxing? 
If it is a movie that could help the mind wander off into fantasy, that could mean relaxing. But if it is a movie with negative inputs, it is the total opposite of relaxing and unfortunately, most movies promote exactly that. Why? It is because the public love watching such movies with zombies, fights, twists, and etc. These movies are full of excitement and we would never fall asleep in the cinema. Even children movies and cartoons will have some if not all the elements, whether we realize it or not. These elements keep viewers hooked to the movie and remember for a long time. Then, there are merchandise for them too. 

What does this mean? 
If we do realize, everything in our lives seem to have something to do with money. Signing up the spa package needs and means money. Getting hooked in a movie and buying merchandize needs and means money. Perhaps it is money that is the evil or the angel. 

If we are able to live peacefully with money, then we will be able to relax at all times. This requires effort. This requires understanding too. This sounds complicated but it is worth spending time thinking about. Most of us do not realize that we are at war with money. Being free from the boundaries that we ourselves have created around money is the true freedom.

Sleepless

A sleepless night. When it is time to sleep but one could not sleep. What makes that? 

Perhaps there is too much going on in the head. 
Perhaps there is too much interference going on in the external world. 
Perhaps it is a combination of both. 

Sometimes life can be cruel. Most importantly is how we look at life and how we choose to live life. The way we perceive life is the way life will be. This is the law of attraction.

Balance

The blur is sometimes the only thing that is in the memory. Whatever we pay attention to right before we sleep is the thing that usually stays in our mind and make our dream. This is the reason why successful people only keep the mind busy with the things that are important to make success. This is what makes the difference between normal people and successful people. 

But how to determine the right amount of time to spend on thinking about something before going overboard to become obsessed with it? Obsession can be the total opposite and can bring negative impact on the person. Overthinking can cause breakdown in the mind and relationships as well. It is of utmost importance that the person knows when to continuously spend time on one thing and when to actually stop thinking about it. 

Keeping balance between exercising the mind to its limits and taking sufficient rest to rejuvenate. 
This takes practice. 
This keeps people sane at all times.

What Is

What is there to see? 
What is there to write? 

Life is amazing. Sometimes it really does not matter what is, it only matter what there is. 

Perhaps there is a mass of things to remember but there might not be anything important enough to remember for life. What seems to be important now might not be so the next minute. Life is ever changing. It is our duty to stay up to date with life. 

Sometimes we do not know what is real. Perhaps it is not important to identify that. Perhaps it is only important for us to know what there is.

Disturb

Sometimes things happen. Whatever that happens seem to disturb the tranquility of life. Perhaps that is the first thought in our mind but is that really so? 

Everything happens for a reason. 

If life is smooth sailing out entire lifetime, will it be the life we are meant to live? Of course we would love to have everything going according to how we want it to be. 

Think again. 
Where is the fun in living? 
Will we have the motivation to learn new skills? 
Are we going to be satisfied with what we already have? 

Life is an ever changing game. There are times where life is a flow and there will be times where life is a rapid. Whatever challenge we face. Whatever potholes we encounter. The cure is always available for us to seek. We just have to learn to stay calm in search of what we seek. 

Patience is key.

Late

It is always better late than never. 

In life, we always strive the best to be early or on time. Though the efforts, sometimes some things may end up unexpected. Some people will be demotivated. Some people will be neutral. The really successful people will continuously strive for the best. It is regardless of whether or not there is success or failure, these people have the courage to continuously challenge themselves. They are the one percent (1%) of the entire world's population. 

Are they the rare species? 
Perhaps it is meant to be. 
Perhaps it is the determination that makes them who they are. 

Are we capable of that? 
Perhaps we all are if we have the right attitude.

Wake

Waking early is great but unintentionally waking too early is total opposite of great. 

Sometimes we are awaken unintentionally in the middle of our beauty sleep. This can happen at any time, anywhere, and any situation. Perhaps there is a reason for everything that happens but sometimes, finding the reason may be a little challenging. Is it always a must to find the reason? 

That depends. 

It all comes back to our senses. If we sense that it is important, then no matter what we will try our best to find the reason. If we do not sense it, perhaps letting it go and the reason will soon prevail without much fuss. 

Life is a matter of patience.

Smell

What is that smell? 
Where is that smell coming from? 

We are all born with the senses that make us. We use our eyes to see, nose to smell, ears to hear, tongue to taste, and skin to touch. These are the five senses that we learn in school that makes us who we are. There is another sense that is less prominent but most important, the sixth sense. It is said that when we were born, we are complete with all six senses but as time goes by, our filters become stronger and hence, the sixth sense just goes hidden without a trace. 

Is that true? 
Perhaps for most of us, but not all of us. 

Though we each have all the senses we need to survive, we each also have one or two senses which is stronger. And of course, there are some people with one or two impaired senses,, then their remaining senses would be amplified as a natural way of compensation. 

It is rather easy to determine which senses are our stronger ones. 

If something wakes us from our sleep, that could be danger. 
If something changes our emotion, that could be health related. 
If something makes us salivate, the could be delicious. 
When something smells delicious, we already preconditioned our taste buds. The enhanced taste buds will be able to taste each and every component of whatever that comes into contact with them. That makes the entire eating experience up a notch. That is gourmet. 

Some senses are indeed closely connected with other senses. All we need to do is to connect with each and everyone of our senses every single day. Life can be better with all our senses.

Cool

Weather is the one thing that effects everyone in the entire world. It does not matter which corner we are situated in, weather effects our daily lives and us, as a whole. 

Sunny weather is great but prolonged sunny weather can turn into drought. 
Rainy weather is great but prolonged rainy weather can cause floods. 

It is important to have a balance between sun and rain so that we can have a balance in life. The sun provides heat and light. The rain provides water and life. Without either, there will be no chance for any organism to survive. 

What there is on the outside is also what happens on the inside. We probably cannot control the weather at large, but we certainly can manipulate the weather within. Perhaps a balance between our own active and passive sides is the key towards finding ourselves.

Rest

Getting enough rest is important to make life. 

Some people can sleep all day long because there is nothing else better to do. Some people work day and night thinking everything needs them. 

How many people really get rest and work balanced the way they should? How much rest is enough? How much work is sufficient? 

Perhaps we really should spend time arranging our lives and experimenting what suits us. There is not one true best way that works for everyone but there is surely something that works for us if we understand our own needs. 

It is important to separate out our needs from what we think is our needs but really is just our wants. What we want may not be what we need, what we need may not be what we want.

With every passing year, we grow a year older. Time is the essence for wisdom. Whether or not we can see past emotions and live past hurdles is entirely up to us.

A space so familiar yet so different. Where are we? 

Love is something very strange. It can come in many forms. It can be something we can touch but it can also be something we can only feel. It can be in a form but it can also be abstract. 

Being loved is sweet. 
Being lovely is wonderful. 
Spreading love is the greatest gift of all. Begin with loving ourselves. Let love grow. Spread the love far and wide to touch every soul there is. It is only with love that we grow stronger with humanity and peace.

Feeling

Emotions can have a substantial effect on a person. Some people like to set emotions aside to make better judgement of any situation. Is emotion the same as feeling? 

Some will say yes, and some no. 

If a person acts on emotions, most of the time the act is drastic. For example, an angry person could be beating someone up for minute reasons or a happy person could be hugging everyone he meets even for the first time. If emotions set aside, the person may neither be angry nor happy in any situation. The person will be able to see things and be impartial in the decision. Fairness can be obtained through analysis from all angles in any situation. 

What about feelings? 

Sometimes as we analyze, there is something that bothers us. There is this feeling of uncertainty that keeps us awake at night. There is something that makes us worry or relieved. It seems like our heart is pumping faster than usual but when we check our heart rate, it is normal. Perhaps this is what some people call gut feeling. This is not emotion but can affect our emotions. 

Over worrying about something can wreck havoc in our sleep which indirectly affects our emotions the next day. Being relieved about something can give us a good night's sleep which directly affects our emotions the next day. If we are to stay focused, we should be able to differentiate between feelings and emotions. 

The feelings that we have usually come unconsciously. It is as if there is something out there showing us light in the darkness. It is as if there is a power pushing us to make the right decision but most often, we either just brush off the feelings and trust our conscious mind, or act drastically to one direction without thinking at all. 

Perhaps if we may, analyze everything consciously and trust our gut to choose the right choice there is. Would this be the ideal way to voyage through all life's challenges?

The most important step of remembering a dream is to keep the eyes closed, recall, and record. This means we have to really wake up to record after we recall. If we laze in bed still, the dream will fade. By the time we really get out of bed and ready to record, it can be partially or thoroughly gone.

Relax

The state of mind is very important at all times. When times are stretched, it is even more crucial to hold it together and be relax to have a clear vision of everything. 

Sometimes, we find it hard to have a clear vision no matter how we try. Our environment holds a big chunk of information. Take a look around. Is the room, the home, the office all having the same thoughts? 

Listen to what everything has to communicate with us. Are we in such environment that promotes clarity? 

If there is clutter everywhere, 
it is the clump that extends from our heads. 

If there is organization everywhere, 
it is the strength that extends from our heads. 

If there is space everywhere, 
it is the sense of calmness that extends from our heads. 

Always create space for creativity and advancement.

Early

Anything can be the reason for rising early. It could be something we have in mind. It could be something that bothers. It could be something out of the ordinary. What is early to some may be late for others. It all depends on the perception and the situation. 

If there is a long walk uphill before we can witness the most beautiful sunrise at the peak of the mountains along the beautiful morning mist, 2 am is considered late. 

If there is a long day tomorrow to handle meetings and greetings with various people and scenarios, 2 am is considered too early and could jeopardize our entire day. 

If we are in a holiday mood and there is nothing much to do the day after, 2 am is just a time that does not matter because we can sleep until our body is ready to wake up at any time the next day. 

Everything depends on just one thing. What is there the next day?

Full

The usual meaning of full is being stuffed with food we can no longer eat anymore. We describe full with a particular size. When a container is already full, it can no longer contain anything extra. But is this true? 

There is an interesting experiment we can all do. 
  • Take a glass container and simply fill it with pebbles to the max. It looks full but is it really so? 
  • Take some sand and simply fill it into the same container with pebbles to the max. It looks full but is it really so? 
  • Take some water and simply fill it into the same container with pebbles and sand to the max. It looks full but is it really so? 

Sometimes things does not look like it seems. It is the perception of our mind that makes it look as though it is full. Perhaps it is better described as filled but not full. 

How can we be sure that we are full? 
Simple
When we have extra to give. If we are full of something, we have the urge to giveaway something, to anybody in need.  

How can we be sure we have extra to give? 
Simple
When we understand the true meaning of giving. It makes others happy. By giving, it fill others' lives with light and joy. Making others happy means everything. 

First things first, make sure we are full ourselves, and then we can make sure to fill others as well. 
Sometimes being selfish is being selfless.

Guard

Sometimes we are capable of guarding ourselves. Sometimes we need others to guard us. 

In times of difficulty, it is easy to be over our own barriers. We can be too careful in all areas so much that we limit our own creativity. 

In times of simplicity, it is easy to let go of our own barriers. We can be too naïve in all areas so much that we often overlook the important areas to excel. 

Learning to balance in between is a task worth investing our time in.

Durian

The king of fruits is in season. 

Everywhere, everyone is having durian feast. Life is wonderful whenever this fruit is available. Multiple stalls line the streets all selling the fragrant fruits. 

People have made it a point to cultivate the best tasting fruits with the most flesh and tiny seed. To the grateful bunch, everyone of them is worth a praise. Most importantly, those who are kind enough not to use artificial pesticides in their orchards.

Guardian Angel

Some people believe that guardian angels are unseen forces that help us get through life. Others believe that guardian angels are people around us that help us create the path we need to walk through. 

Perhaps, guardian angels come in many forms. They can be seen or unseen. It does not really matter what shape or size or representation we imagine them to be. As long as we believe they are around to help us, then they are exactly where they need to be when they need to be. 

Sometimes, guardian angels might even come in two forms. One as the guardian taking charge of everything and protecting the entire family from harm. Another as the angel making sure everyone does what needs to be done and keeping everyone safe. They can be felt, seen, and touched. They shower us with love and forever have a place in our hearts.

Sleep

When a dream seems random, try to pick up the pieces. It is just a puzzle waiting to be put together into a masterpiece. 

Awaken and cannot fall asleep again? 
Different people relaxing? 
A baby sleeping with a lullaby song? 
Father sleeping on the couch? 
Mother brushing teeth after dinner? 

All the strange and random appearances of people and incidents in a dream or several overlapping dreams can be interesting. Perhaps this particular dream is informing us the importance of sleep and that we should do everything we can to let ourselves sleep soundly at night.

Lethargy

Is feeling tired equivalent to feeling lethargy? 
Some would answer yes, while some would probably say no. 

Tired is the most commonly used term in describing the feeling that we do not want to do anything. Sometimes it is due to lack of rest but sometimes it is simply by choice. For example, we do not want to get out of the house because there really is nothing interesting to do out there and we say "I am tired of the same old routine every Sunday. I might as well just choose to stay home this Sunday." 

The word tired is also more commonly used because of its simplicity in writing as well as pronunciation. This makes lethargy the better word to be used to describe the feeling of lack of energy. But what really is the difference between these two words? They sound different. They spell different. Do they mean different too? 

Perhaps not everyone would agree with the meaning perceived here. This is the way some people might see it. 

Tired refers to lack of energy with a cause. For example one is tired because one cannot sleep, or one is tired because one has done a lot of work for the day. After a good night's rest and energy is restored, one will be back to normal. 

Lethargy on the other hand refers to lack of energy, can be with or without a cause. For example one can feel lethargy because of lack of rest, but one can also feel lethargy without any direct cause at all. Perhaps it is the air quality. Perhaps it is hydration. Perhaps it is the side effects of having a vaccination. There is always a cause but because we lack understanding, we cannot find the cause and we think it has no cause. 

Perhaps it is also safe to say that lethargy sounds more serious than that of tired. Some people might think so because it is a less commonly used word. Some people might think so because it has more alphabets in it. Some people might think so because it is harder to pronounce. Whatever the reason, it is always great practice to get sufficient sleep, drink enough water, eat nutritious foods, and keep the mind clear.

Sleep

Sleep is the most important activity of any living being. It is the natural mechanism of healing, rejuvenation, and reset. We should be grateful to get this opportunity everyday. The beginning of each day is a new adventure and after every adventure we have the luxury to rest. 

We are in this era of history and this place on earth whereby we are able to sleep soundly and safely at night. We should be grateful for that each and every day. There has been those era whereby our ancestors are fearful to fall asleep because of dangers that lurk in the dark. There are also people who are living in places so extreme whereby sleeping means the possibility to never seeing tomorrow. 

If there are problems unsolved, just let go and live life as we should. There is no problem big enough that cannot be solved just a minute later. There is no problem big enough that should be allowed to disrupt our daily life, especially our sleep. It is all about being present in the moment and living life the way we should. 

There is one thing however, that we all should be aware of and concerned about. 
Nature. 
Nature provides and thus nature also has the ability to stop providing. Pay attention to be close to nature and protect nature. Everything else is just minute.
